  • Civil Rights Heritage Center
    Inspired by the study of the Civil Rights Movement, students at IU South Bend founded the Civil Rights Heritage Center to record, preserve and celebrate the struggles and extraordinary achievements of citizens committed to social justice.  In partnership with schools, community organizations and local government, the Civil Rights Heritage Center uses local and national civil rights history to promote social justice and improved race relations.
     
  • Health Works! Kids' Museum
    Health Works Museum
    HealthWorks! is a state-of-the art, 12,000 square foot facility, aimed at teaching children, kindergarten through 6th grade, that the choices they make today will impact the quality of life they have tomorrow. Children learn through interactive displays about the human body, innovative computer stations, and challenges about brainpower and senses to reveal important facts about their own skills and talents. HealthWorks! offers 11 different learning tracks for visiting area students, with additional programs on the weekends.
     
  • Military Honor Park & Museum
    Outdoor Military Park and Indoor Museum.  Displays include airplanes, tanks ,weaponry, uniforms, small artifacts, research library and gift shop.  Located at the front entrance to the South Bend Regional Airport.
     
  • The History Museum
    Beautifully encompassed on 10 acres in the West Washington Historic District of South Bend, The History Museum includes the 38-room Oliver Mansion, the Worker's Home, six galleries, and Kidsfirst Children's Museum.  Each unique area of The History Museum combines fascinating historical presentations of the people and life in the St. Joseph River Valley area, from the prehistoric era to the present.

    One of the finest university art museums in America is located on the University of Notre Dame campus. The Snite Museum of Art, a tri-level 70,000-square-foot building, boasts over 19,000 works representing many of the principal cultures and periods of world art history.
     
  • South Bend Chocolate Factory & Museum
    The South Bend Chocolate Company got its start making chocolates under a license from the University of Notre Dame.  Its first three products were the Domer, Rockne and Nuts for ND.  The Company now produces over 500 items.  The general public is invited to take tours of the factory and museum.
     
  • South Bend Museum of Art
    Founded in 1947, this museum traces its heritage to a small group of artists and community leaders who dedicated their efforts to bringing fine art to the region. Accredited by the American Association of Museums, which recognizes that the Museum has achieved the highest level of professional standards.
     
  • Studebaker National Museum
    Studebaker National Museum
    View 114 years of automotive history, from the Studebaker family's Conestoga Wagon to the last car to roll off the assembly line. Studebaker was the only company to span the time from settlers' wagons to high performance automobiles.
