South Bend’s Climate Action Plan: Carbon Neutral 2050

The Office of Sustainability implements the community’s Climate Action Plan. Carbon Neutral 2050, South Bend’s first Climate Action Plan, sets community-wide goals to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. First, it targets a 26% reduction by 2025 and culminates in South Bend becoming carbon neutral by 2050. The plan targets energy use in buildings and transportation, which are the two largest sources of GHGs in South Bend.
