Mayor Pete Buttigieg will temporarily rename Michigan St. “Fighting Irish Drive” at the intersection of Michigan St. and Washington St. on Monday, August 27 at 11:30 a.m. The temporary renaming comes the week of the famed University of Notre Dame vs. University of Michigan rivalry football game, and the first Notre Dame football game of the season. The Mayor will be joined by Senior Associate Athletic Director of Fighting Irish Media John Heisler.
Additionally, the South Bend River Lights will light up green the evening of Friday, August 31 in anticipation of the game.
