Northwest Side

A jewel of a northwest-side neighborhood tucked away from the bustling Lincoln Way West corridor is Brentwood Estates. Just south of Lincoln Way for several blocks on either side of Sheridan Street to Ardmore Trail, this well-maintained neighborhood is a great find. On a typical day, retired folks take their morning walks, people work in their yards and toddlers follow Mom down to the park. Brentwood Estates has an abundance of schools. In the heart of the neighborhood is Coquillard Primary Center with the adjacent Westhaven Park. To the east is St. John the Baptist Catholic Grade School and at the edge of the neighborhood is the excellent Dickenson Fine Arts Academy, a magnet for the South Bend public school system. Home prices average $80,000 for a three-bedroom brick ranch and can go up to $100,000.
