The City of South Bend has been approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a Local Housing Counseling Agency.  The following types of housing counseling are offered:

• Pre-Purchase Counseling
• Mortgage Delinquency & Default Resolution Counseling
• Non-Delinquency Post Purchase Workshops for Homeowners
• Pre-Purchase Homebuyer Education Workshops

 Additionally, the City participates in the Indiana Foreclosure Prevention Network (IFPN).
