- CDBG-HOME-Emergency Shelter Grant: These are entitlement funds that come to the city annually from the U.S. Department of housing and Urban Development (HUD). The programs these funds support must benefit low to moderate income persons or areas.
- Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousnig Program: The City of South Bend is seeking applications from organizations to provide services for eligible participants in the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) per the amendment as submitted to HUD in July. Applicants are required to be federally qualified non-profit 501(c)3 entities, and must have demonstrated capacity to assess eligibility of participants; develop and monitor housing plans; identify and contract with eligible landlords and utilities; provide case management, and manage the distribution and accounting of assistance checks for eligible activities. Due August 21, 2009 no later than NOON.
- Neighborhood Resources Corp (NRC) Grant: These NRC grants for special projects by developing and established neighborhood groups and/or neighborhood organizations in the City of South Bend are not yet available.
