The Morris Performing Arts Center, South Bend Tribune and Sunny 101.5 are pleased to announce the outdoor summer concert series -- Fridays by the Fountain for 2008.  Local Oldies, Rock, Blues, Country, Irish and New Orleans Fusion bands will take "the stage" in the Jon R. Hunt Plaza in front of the historic Morris Performing Arts Center during lunchtime from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on six Fridays in June, July and August.  The concerts are free and open to the public.  Scheduled bands include:

• July 25 :: Everyday People  (Country)
• August 8 :: Kennedy's Kitchen  (Irish)
• August 22 :: Half Pint Jones  (New Orleans Fusion)

Lunch will be available to purchase from downtown vendors The Morris Bistro, Papa John's, and the State Cafe.  A variety of lunchtime favorites including pizza, sandwiches, and salads will be available.  Tables will be set up around the plaza to enjoy the concert.  People are also welcome to bring a sack lunch, a chair or blanket and relax on the lawn. 

Since 2001, Fridays by the Fountain has attracted a wide audience to the plaza.
