South Bend's heritage is built on hard work.  A generation ago, the city was a key cog in America's economic engine, as companies like Studebaker, Oliver Plow Works and others built products for use across the nation and the world.  The success of those companies is due in large part to the strength and sweat of a strong workforce.  People who believed in the value of hard work, honesty and loyalty.

Today, though the industries have changed, the strong, Midwestern work ethic remains.
